Yes, I meant to mention the Weirdos show.

Sounds like fun - but I know I'll probably flake out and not go.

Who is in the Weirdos these days, anyway?

The Dead Kennedys will be playing the Anaheim House of Blues on Feb 24th.

I asked the guy at the Alternative Tentacles website just to clarify that Jello is still not in the band (who knows - they might have reformed behind my back). I got this reply:

Quote:
Jello's not playing that show, and as far as we know, neither is Brandon Cruz. He quit/was asked to leave a while back and now they have a new singer. Sigh...

From the official X website e-mail:

X Live In Los Angeles the live concert DVD and corresponding CD, will be released Tuesday May 10 by Shout!Factory.
The concert was filmed and recorded at House of Blues Sunset Strip on Thanksgiving weekend 2004.

Hey - that was the show I went to where they stomped all over yours truly and I was trapped among the big people and couldn't see a lot of the show! Now I can see it - and NOT get stomped on! :D

the go betty go concert was fun. i wore my last hoodie & suffered for the cause. it was a bit too hot out to be wearing a sweatshirt.

i got alot of smiles from students in my class (there are 100 people in the class i'm currently teaching). i guess they didn't expect to see me at the concert.

go betty go said they'll be back on our campus on april 19.

That sounds cool - except that it would mean braving the weekday rush hour freeways. :(

Yeah, but 65 bux??!!!! For HOB???!!!!

For DEVO?!!!

I remember in the mid-80's when they were playing at the Long Beach Naval Base Chief's Club, for free, I think.

Rory and I saw the marquee and wanted to go straight there after work, but we had the older one as a young one with us (just picked up from the day care center on base) and she wouldn't have been allowed in. And no baby sitter.

Anyone going to see X and The Plimsouls at the Orange County Fair on July 15?

Only $19 - and it includes fair admission.

This year I gotta keep the spouse and young ones away from the deep-fried twinkies.... :P

The Leaving Trains will perform at Spaceland on Friday, May 27, 2005. According to their website,

From the Artifix website:

Thee Undertakers 4 song 7"ep is out. You can order these directly from Artifix for $5 bux postpaid in the U.S. This record features two studio tracks from 1982 and two live tracks from 1980.

(editor's note: This is about two months late.)

Also from Artifix:

The Weirdos will be playing at Hogue Barmichaels in Newport Beach, CA on June 25th with Shattered Faith. Cost is $12 and is 18+ over. The Weirdos should also finally be going to England to play in December!

(This was postponed due to Dix, I think, being ill with pneumonia. --ed)
